Brewing Instructions
For a specific coffee, refer to exact brewing parameters such as dose, grind size, ratio and water temperature on the product page.
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
- V60 dripper
- V60 filter
- Freshly ground coffee (medium grind)
- Kettle
- Scale
- Timer
- Mug or server
Step 2: Prepare the Equipment
- Place the V60 dripper on top of your mug or server.
- Rinse the V60 filter with hot water to remove any paper taste and preheat the dripper and vessel. Discard the rinse water.
Step 3: Measure and Grind Coffee
-
- Use a medium grind size for the coffee beans, similar to granulated sugar or sand consistency.
- Measure out your coffee beans with a ratio of 1:15 (coffee to water).
Step 4: Bloom the Coffee
- Place the V60 on the scale, add the coffee grounds, and start the timer.
- Slowly pour just enough hot water (about twice the weight of the coffee grounds) to saturate them evenly. Allow the coffee to bloom for about 30 seconds.
Step 5: Pours After Bloom
- First Pour: Begin pouring water in a slow, circular motion starting from the center, working your way out. Add water until you reach about half of the total brew weight.
- Second Pour: After allowing the coffee bed to settle a bit, pour the water in the same slow circular motion until you reach about 75% of the total brew weight.
- Third Pour: Lastly, pour the remaining water in a controlled manner to reach the total brew weight.
Step 6: Enjoy Your Coffee
- Once all water has been poured, let the coffee drip through the filter completely. This process should take around 2-3 minutes depending on the grind size.
- Discard the used grounds and filter, give your coffee a quick stir to ensure it is well-mixed, and savor your delicious cup of V60 Pourover coffee!
Adjust variables like grind size, ratio, and water temperature to your liking for a perfect cup every time. Enjoy your brewing experience with V60 Pourover coffee!
